Borderlands 4: Report a Player

PUBLISHED:
UPDATED:

Don't get us wrong, Kairos is a harsh environment for everyone, but we're only going to get through this together if we play fair and have fun. That means if you find someone breaking the rules in the 2K Code of Conduct for Fair Play you may want to report them.

Report them? That's right, we've got a system for you to flag those names, chat, or actions that feel out of bounds to you. We always do our best to keep the game safe and comfortable for our players, but there are times when we rely on the community to let us know that something went wrong.

Submitting a Report

When you're set on making the report, here are the steps:

  • Search for the username, or find it in your SHiFT menu
  • Once you are looking at the Player Profile, you will have the option to "Report SHiFT User"
  • From there you'll see the following categories you can report someone for:
    • Username
    • Unsportsmanlike conduct
    • Abuse
    • Hate speech
    • Leaving
    • Cheating
    • Real life information/doxing
    • Impersonation/Fraud
  • A text box will pop up where you can provide any relevant details, context, or reasons for the report
  • Click "Send Report" and it will be sent to us

FAQ

Q: What happens after I make a report?

A: After submitting the report, the category and report details will be sent to 2K. We may contact you using the email address on your SHiFT Account to request further information in order to make a decision. Once a decision has been taken, we will notify you of the outcome of the report using your email address, unless there is not one associated with your report/account or you have asked us not to contact you in relation to your report.

Q: Can I cancel a report after submitting it?

A: Once you’ve submitted your report, it cannot be withdrawn, but we will be sure to do any investigation and review we need before taking action.
