You're familiar with the chaos on Kairos, but let's add some extra content and confusion! Maybe you pre-ordered the game, bought extra DLC, bought an edition with DLC, or claimed rewards like Twitch Drops or SHiFT codes for extra cosmetics and content.
First, you want to know what cosmetic content is available to you, and we have a guide here with what is on offer and how you get it. This includes the pre-order Gilded Glory pack... but more on that further in.
Great news about cosmetic skins, paint jobs, and heads - they are added to every Vault Hunter you have! Once you've earned any of these rewards, you'll be able to redeem them in Borderlands 4 via the Reward Center section of your Inventory screen, under Equipment. Cosmetics can be equipped whenever via the Customization tab on every character once one of them has redeemed them.
That's something special about Cosmetics - when it comes to an actual gun, shield, or other tangible in-game item, they can only be redeemed on one Vault Hunter. That means if your first character redeemed them, that's where they'll live until you put them in the shared bank.
But wait - what about Gilded Glory guns and grenades? Now you're asking the right questions - those are the exception to this rule! Every Vault Hunter you create on an account that has the Gilded Glory pack from pre-orders will, of course, have the Cosmetics but will also get:
- "Matador's Match" Lvl 1 Legendary Maliwan SMG: Fires off spiraling projectiles to create a cone of death
- "Transmitter" Lvl 30 Legendary Ripper Grenade: Teleports through nearby enemies multiple times, dishing out damage with every bloody bounce
- "Sidewinder" Lvl 30 Legendary Torgue Ordnance: Unleash a volley of high-speed rockets that ricochet in this beautiful union of Torgue and Jakobs tech
- "First Impression" Lvl 50 Legendary Daedalus Assault Rifle: Land guaranteed critical hits on enemies at full HP, with the chance to crit decreasing proportionally to their dwindling health
Twitch Drops or SHiFT codes follow the same rules - for guns, ordinance, shields, and so on you get them once on one Vault Hunter only, but Cosmetics get to spread the looks around. Keep in mind that anything you redeem via a SHiFT code or Twitch drop is tied to your SHiFT account, so if you unlink your platform account for any reason, you'll lose access to that content.
Golden Keys are a pool shared by all your Vault Hunters, so don't let one character hog them all! If you're looking for more all about Golden Keys, check out our article here.
What if you deleted that first Vault Hunter with your guns or other loot? The reward goes with them, and we don't have a way to restore deleted saves. Be careful to bank the goods before you bash the delete button!
