This update includes a new set of Weekly Activities in addition to a permanent increase to dedicated drop rates and buffs for Harlowe and Amon players.
We loved seeing how much you enjoyed our Season's Looting and Triple Threat events during the holidays! You can look forward to more Limited-Time Big Encore events with multiple bosses in the future.
From all the feedback we've seen, it’s clear to us how much you all enjoyed the limited-time drop rates we introduced for the duration of the Season’s Looting event. Once the event ended, we had an internal discussion about dedicated drop rates, factoring in both what we heard from you, the community, and our vision for how these drops should evolve.
Beginning this week, we are permanently increasing the dedicated drop rates on bosses. These changes are a careful way for us to balance the game so that loot drops feel like a meaningful increase from the base game. You’ll be able to get more loot faster without breaking the systems that make Borderlands 4 unique, like the Moxxi’s Big Encore machine. Looking ahead, we are working on ways to make loot even better in Ultimate Vault Hunter (UVH) modes to make sure harder levels always feel rewarding.
With tons of new free and paid content on the way, we have an exciting year ahead for Borderlands 4. Stay tuned for this month's Major Update, where we'll share more details on the content and updates you can expect in 2026!

Weekly Big Encore Boss has switched to a tougher variant of a different existing boss with an even more rewarding loot pool for those that take it on.
Foundry Freaks

The Weekly Wildcard Mission has changed. These missions feature a guaranteed Legendary drop that you can repeatedly earn to get your ideal roll.
Mission: One Fell Swoop (Experienced, Vampiric, Strong)
Legendary Gear Reward: G.M.R.
Maurice's Black Market Vending Machine has moved to another location and changed its offerings. Remember, while the location is the same, your vending machine items are different from other players, so ask around to see if someone has the item you're looking for!

Vault Hunters
Harlowe:
- Concurrence: Action Skill Duration increased to 5%
- Control Group: Killing an Entangled enemy now restores 6% of Harlowe's Action Skill Cooldown
- Freeze Frame: Bonus Cryo Damage increased to 20%, Max Stacks are now 5
- Endothermic Reaction: Harlowe's Endothermic Aura bonus damage increased to 6%
- Heat Sink: Action Skill Cooldown Rate increased to 10%
Amon:
- Forgeaxe and Forgehammer Detonation damage increased by ~72%
- Get the Lead Out: Amon’s reload speed increased to 5%
- Hour of the Hammer: Increased Forgehammer Impact Damage by ~59%
- Freezer Burn: Increased Cryo and Incendiary bonus damage to 9%
- Armor of Contempt: Amon now gains 5% Overshield when doing Action Skill Damage
- Blade Tempest: Now fires 5 swords per barrage, and addressed a reported issue that could cause a change in cooldown duration
