Missing Progression or Lost Save Data After Joining a Multiplayer Session and Returning to Single Player

While rare, we've received reports that players who join multiplayer sessions with a preexisting Vault Hunter, then leave the party and attempt to load their save in singleplayer, are missing progress or save data.
